Computation is carried out in state-of-the-art workstations. For stress analysis calculations, FEM and BEM commercially available software programmes and an in-house developed Boundary Element Code are used. For the design of components, advanced computer-aided design tools are implemented. Fatigue and crack propagation calculations are performed by developing "fit-for-purpose" software codes.

ISTRAM has access to internationally recognised, well equipped laboratories of various disciplines which provide all the necessary testing and measuring equipment (e.g. for investigations on mechanical properties and behaviour of materials, metallographic investigations, etc.).
